27 Weeks

Baby Nora

Our baby girl is doing well. She is growing right on track. Right now she weight about 2 pounds and is about 15 inches long. Of course we have a food comparison so right now she is about the size of a head of cauliflower!



She is now sleeping and waking in interval, which let me tell ya I have figured out. Her most active times are between 7 and 9 am with a little bit in the early afternoon and then again around 9 pm when we are getting ready for bed. I love that Freddy has been able to feel her kicking now too. It is such a odd but wonderful feeling being kicked from the inside :)

Momma ~ to ~ Be

I have been feeling pretty good. Over the past couple of weeks I had do the the gestational diabetes glucose testing. I did not pass the initial 1 hour test so I had to complete the 3 hour test. Which I passed! No Diabetes for this girl!! Let me tell that stuff they make you drink is pretty nasty! I am just glad that is one thing I don't have to worry about.

The heat is getting hard to handle, the one downside of being towards the end of your pregnancy in the dead of summer. I have still tried to do as much outside as I can but it just takes staying well hydrated and taking breaks often to cool off. We went the NASCAR Truck race last week and it was HOT! I took it easy and did end up laying down in the truck for a little bit. But we had a great time!! Even got to watch Zac Efron filming a new movie :) 

We have started to get things done around the house seeing that we are 90 days from the due date of our precious baby girl. It amazing how much you want to get accomplished. When we are done though the house and nursery are going to amazing. I am lucky to have such a great husband who has been working hard to get things done.

23 Weeks

Wow! 23 weeks! Sorry I haven't posted in a couple of weeks. First Freddy went out of town for work and while he was gone I got a Kindey Infection. We also has terrible storms so I didnt get much sleep so I was trying to get a much sleep as I could and basically eating dinner and then laying down to sleep.

Baby Nora

Right now she is weighing about 1.4 pounds and is 11.81 inches long head to butt. She would be about the size of the Mango and as long as an ear of corn. She can now hear outside the womb so we have been listen to music and talking to her. It amazing how she moves around when we do.

Momma~to~Be

I have been feeling pretty good. Beside my mild kidney infection and 10 days on antibotics I have been feeling pretty good. While Freddy was out of town I did a lot of cleaning. Sure is a lot to get done to get ready for a baby. I have been able to feel a lot more movement over the last couple of weeks. I still have felt her kick but get the flutters when she moves. She seem to be the most active in the morning and when I am trying to go to sleep. Sleep is getting harder and harder the more uncomfortable I am getting. Plus I am up every hour to pee...gotta love having a little girl sitting on your bladder.

I have able to feel her pushing on me from the outside. It is kinda neat that I can have Freddy push on my belly and feel a body part..no idea what it is but I would assume a foot :)

Baby Mersberger

This week our baby weighs 10 1/2 oz and is now 10 inches long from head to bottom. She is about the length of a banana. She is also begining to swallow a lot more which is good practice and development for her digestive track.

Momma ~ To ~ Be

I continue to feel better and better. I still don't have much of an appetite yet but it is slowing coming back. I now have a lot more engergy than I did the first half of my pregnancy which is great being just in time for summer. I have been able to to feel a lot more movement and pushing but still no kicks. I am sure that will come in the next few week and I am looking forward to it. I want Freddy to be able to feel something.

Fun Stuff

Freddy and I celebrated our 6 year wedding anniversary on Friday with a weekend trip down to Kansas City.

Friday:

We got to Kansas City around 3pm to check into our hotel. This was quite the adventure. When we got there they had put us in a smoking room and refused to switch is. However they did give us a bottle of Frabreeze for the smell...that was nice of them right? Since we booked through Expedia I had to go through them to get anything done because the hotel refused to. After about an hour we were relocated to another hotel which was a WAY nicer hotel and closer to the speedway. Once we got checked in we headed to a romantic dinner at The Melting Pot. What a great dinner it was.

Saturday:

We spent most of the day at Kasas Motor Speedway. We had pit passes so we spent all morning during qualifying down around the pits! Best part of that was meeting Kyle Busch!!! We got to see almost everyone walking around but couldnt get close enough for many autographs. We did walk away with a couple of them though. I was kinda amazed at how many of them refused. It was about 95 degrees this day and I quickly learned it is much harder to handle the heat when you are pregnant. I had to cool off a few times and go sit under the grandstand in the shade so I didnt get to see all of the truck race but it was still a fun day.

After the race we went to the shopping center next to the hotel where we found a Cater's Outlet Store so we had out first shipping spree for our baby girl. Such a great sale!! Had a early dinner at Hooter's and called it a night, I was exhausted.

Sunday:

Sprint Cup Race Day! We got to the track a couple hours early to do some walking around. Baby Girl got her first Kyle Busch outfit...okay I did play fair and she got a Carl Edwards one too. It's so wierd to go places now and you think of buying things for your baby and not for yourself. I love the feeling!! I am sure it will just keep getting worse too.

It was another hot day at the track but wasn't as bad because it was a shorter day. I still went and found the shade  a couple of times because it was a longer race but easier to handle more of the race as there was a slight breeze and I drank TONS of water.

It's going to a long and hot summer...

19 Weeks

Baby Mersberger

This week Baby Mersberger weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches, head to bottom. She is about the size of a heirloom tomato.  I felt movement for the first time this week that I could recognize as movement. I have thought I felt it before but wasn't quite sure but I knew this time it was her. I can now also feel some pushing, but no kicks yet.

Momma ~ to ~ Be

Now that I am into my second trimester I am finally starting to feel a lot better. I have not had any morning sickness in about two weeks now and only get nauseated when I get really hungry. I have noticed I have had a lot more energy now as well. I can actually stay up and do things, which I know makes Freddy happy. I am slowly starting to get a appetite back. I have slowly noticed that it is harder and harder to get comfortable even more so when I am trying to sleep.

Fun Things

Memorial Day Weekend!!!

Friday night we went out to the Mader's for a Hillbilly Jamboree...yes it was as interesting as it sounds. We started by grilling out...I believe we had 4 grills going at one time and were rotating things on and off. Then we all went down to do some shooting. I shot the 380 handgun and the 22 rifle. Still can't keep me from the shooting range, wont be able to hunt for most of the season this year but I can still do some shooting. Once it got dark we started a bonfire, which I must say was the BIGGEST fire I have EVER seen. Sure did enjoy the S'mores!!

Saturday night we had Jed and Katie Holl's Wedding Reception...words can not describe. Lets just say it was a GOOD night.

Sunday night we went out to the campsite where Freddy's mom and sister were all at. We had a good time grilling out, watching the Coca Cole 600 and once again made S'mores.

Monday we went over to the Kinney's to grill out and I bet you can guess.....made S'mores!!!!

18 Weeks

We got to see our baby today for our 18 weeks ultrasound and we found out Baby Mersberger is a GIRL!!! We are super excited. I was actually surprised how excited Freddy was. Don't get me wrong I knew he would be excited either way but I knew how much he wanted a boy. However last week he did refer to the baby as a she, this is when I knew he would be just as excited if we were having a baby girl. All I could think of was Carrie Underwood song "All American Girl".
